Special Weather Statement

... After Spring-like conditions... winter returns by end of the week...

A storm system will enter Utah and Colorado Thursday night
through Saturday bringing a return to cooler temperatures and
snow for the mountains. Some uncertainty still remains on the
exact track of the storm... how much precipitation will fall... and
where it will fall. Current thinking is significant accumulations
are possible over the northern... central... and southern mountains.
Snow levels will be around 8000 to 8500 feet Thursday evening
dropping to roughly 6500 feet by Friday morning as a strong
surface front moves through. Remaining areas can expect highs in
the 40s Friday and Saturday with cold rainshowers.

As the front moves through... some thunderstorms are possible
along and ahead of the cold air. Along with thunderstorms... wind
speeds of 25 to 30 mph are possible with higher gusts.

Again... some uncertainty remains with this storm so please stay
tuned to your local forecast over the next few days.
